Soldier On…….Camo style with a touch of neutral

Always look for the best in every situation. Find something good in any bad situation. It is easier said than done, but the best way is to keep moving. Small steps and not sweat on the small stuff.
I had so much to write about this, but while reading a book to my son yesterday the book summed it all up. This children’s book is by Eric Litwin called Pete the Cat ‘I Love my white shoes’. Essentially, the story is about Pete who got his brand new white shoes. Pete loved his white shoes so much that while walking down the street he will sing ‘I love my white shoes, I love my white shoes’. While walking he stepped into strawberries and his shoes turned red. Did Pete cry? yes, he did, but he kept walking along and singing his song “I love my red shoes’. Then he walked into blueberries! the same thing he kept walking and singing, he walked into a mud he kept walking and singing his song. He finally walked into a water that took the red off from the strawberries, the blue from the blueberries, the brown off from the mud and now the shoes were white again but wet. He still kept walking singing his song ‘I love my wet shoes’.
The writer summed it up by saying, the moral of Pete’s story is no matter what you step in, keep walking along and sing your song.
I smiled after I read it and I looked at my son and say to him, you are smarter and wiser than you think just keep doing your best and kissed him good night.
So I want to reiterate to you that no matter how hard things might get, keep walking and continue to sing your song. It’s your song, sing it soft or loud. You are a soldier and you arestronger than you think.
